Especially if one attends St. Patrick's Elementary School. Imagine my dismay when arriving at school without so much as a thread of green on! OUCH!!! By the time I arrived home that day, there were not many spots where I had not been pinched. Needless to say, I learned my lesson and to this day I adhere to the tradition of wearing so<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQOp40MzWRE1V4HtA-mnfdqy3jYFgJe4ZgP-pzxWn_K6SkzddGhBcBrKrEwGL-F2VizWWuy6UXYXe3afFsmDqAO6R44fTQMBYT1KwIkQ9Ixpjwyza1ebFpfMtLR-hNL0PFF5UVDMHYdE56/s1600/Wearin%2527+O%2527+The+Green+by+MaryTDesigns+on+Etsy+-+Windows+Internet+Explorer+2212011+85405+PM.bmp.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 320px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 312px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5576654456421897106" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQOp40MzWRE1V4HtA-mnfdqy3jYFgJe4ZgP-pzxWn_K6SkzddGhBcBrKrEwGL-F2VizWWuy6UXYXe3afFsmDqAO6R44fTQMBYT1KwIkQ9Ixpjwyza1ebFpfMtLR-hNL0PFF5UVDMHYdE56/s320/Wearin%2527+O%2527+The+Green+by+MaryTDesigns+on+Etsy+-+Windows+Internet+Explorer+2212011+85405+PM.bmp.jpg" /></a>mething green on March 17th.<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />Why do we associate St. Patrick's Day with green? Is it because St. Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland - the Emerald Isle? Or that the symbol of St. Patrick's day is the shamrock, which is green? My favorite legend states that if you wear green on St. Patrick's Day you are invisible to leprauchans who pinch those they can see. Whatever you choose to believe, you don't want to be caught not wearing any green on March 17th. For those of you who need something green to wear, I have assembled this treasury of wonderful green items for your viewing pleasure. The challenge entries are wonderful as usual and are pictured in collage to the left. The challenge theme for May was chosed by Isabella at bead4me <a href="http://www.etsy.com/shop/bead4me">http://www.etsy.com/shop/bead4me</a>, colors embedded in the world of insects. My entry in the May challenge is my Ladybug, Ladybug Bracelet. I have taken this month's theme literally and the fun peyote bracelet pictured below is the result. The beadwoven spots "float" on a two-toned red peyote base, and this is only one of the many entries. Our talented members have created these pieces for your pleasure and would appreciate your vote of approval. You won't be disappointed by the beautiful and intricate pieces on display!<br /><br /><br />While perusing the lovely works available on the ETSY network, I stumbled upon a piece that is both whimsical and beautifully crafted. Aleta Ford Baker of takingshape <a href="https://www.takingshape.etsy.com/akingshape.etsy.com/">https://www.takingshape.etsy.com/akingshape.etsy.com/<a href="https://www.takingshape.etsy.com/">akingshape.etsy.com/</a></a>) has created this wonderful sculpture based on the works of my favorite author J.R.R. Tolkien of Lord of the Rings fame. This particular beadwoven sculpture is based on "The Hobbit". I know the work well and have read it more than a dozen times since I was a teen. I love her interpretation of this fantasy and strongly suggest that you take the time to view it more closely.<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcL4snuLHuRArDakvj1-1aDlN1fDMine7FNvbY5lwmRprEypmmQ8fKy-qLwnueK-p79K0c4D8QkB5Bi6EDCv-MrL3ouoeDtNHmYknZbsGn2mSwS2HkmmBj1im0NRSySn5J2clja5a56PBH/s1600/il_430xN.114399085%5B1%5D.jpg"></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjn7EE45c-dzi3bB6LYgK_zKoUWPXWM4Eoy-AS4nAaWNk576R_Z_dFX2MfIC8dZhNPzHi6eyK2GL7CXwyzUTesYN-_Zgg0rBMoHrCLUDvV-6P-JTeO1vgEMklSsnpJlHKV2upeuMWl_LYRl/s1600/il_430xN.114399085%5B1%5D.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 320px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 281px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5469422427504888146" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjn7EE45c-dzi3bB6LYgK_zKoUWPXWM4Eoy-AS4nAaWNk576R_Z_dFX2MfIC8dZhNPzHi6eyK2GL7CXwyzUTesYN-_Zgg0rBMoHrCLUDvV-6P-JTeO1vgEMklSsnpJlHKV2upeuMWl_LYRl/s320/il_430xN.114399085%5B1%5D.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcL4snuLHuRArDakvj1-1aDlN1fDMine7FNvbY5lwmRprEypmmQ8fKy-qLwnueK-p79K0c4D8QkB5Bi6EDCv-MrL3ouoeDtNHmYknZbsGn2mSwS2HkmmBj1im0NRSySn5J2clja5a56PBH/s1600/il_430xN.114399085%5B1%5D.jpg"></a>Mary T Designshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16859148825996828976noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3860284911866040571.post-90422091083952299652010-02-16T17:26:00.001-08:002010-02-16T18:39:55.856-08:00Freeform~I'll Try Anything Once<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxxmNPVKW9YqxiyFqsMOvIGtOvXpZdTfAIPELsumo1Iq9CFPOhAnRGQmvIBinkAJxFZlCTXZHbvagILq41RN5Qt42scOMaJLMjaTVfI8G9EtMfQzd9V7Ouqt4PjOzVErmZZn2CzWA1MHZb/s1600-h/100_1831.JPG"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 129px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 200px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5439024182001402530" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxxmNPVKW9YqxiyFqsMOvIGtOvXpZdTfAIPELsumo1Iq9CFPOhAnRGQmvIBinkAJxFZlCTXZHbvagILq41RN5Qt42scOMaJLMjaTVfI8G9EtMfQzd9V7Ouqt4PjOzVErmZZn2CzWA1MHZb/s200/100_1831.JPG" /></a><br /><div><div><div><div><div><div>As most of you know, I am relatively new to beading and have been very impressed by some of the freeform pieces I have seen in various places. While I was impressed by the creativity of others, I was intimidated, no make that terrified, to try it myself. This week I got brave and tested the freeform water. The result was this pair of drop earrings. I still am terrified by the thought of undertaking a larger freeform project, I guess I am a teeny bit less intimidated now that I have my first experience in freeform under my belt! This is my first bezel that I have ever beaded. I fell in love with the natural stone bead, bought it, then didn't have a clue what to do with it. I finally had the idea of creating the bezel and after that was done, I struggled with how to hang it. After many tries, I finally created the spiral rope that it is shown with. It is a multi-functional piece that can be worn with or without the pendant. The spiral looks really nice when worn alone. The first item I created was peyote and from then on I was hooked. Hooked on peyote..hooked on beading..hooked on creating! Now I am trying to get creative with designing patterns. This is my latest creation. You can see the pattern along with the beginning of the cuff. I just love to use peyote stitch. I can get lost in a piece and the hours just slip away. The team is currently in the midst of our monthly Challenge and your vote for your favorite piece would be terrific! The collage depicts all of the entries in our current Challenge - Ocean/Sea Inspired. With so many gorgeous pieces to vote for, the choice is a difficult one. I keep changing my mind, so I am postponing my vote until I have more time to study the pieces. The voting is open February 9 - 15 at <a href="http://www.etsy-beadweavers.blogspot.com/">http://www.etsy-beadweavers.blogspot.com/</a>. Our talented members have created these beautiful designs for your pleasure. Why the hype?? Sure I love to watch football, but this would be just another game without all the media frenzy - and the commercials. Aren't they great! Did you see the Doritos comercial where the dog put the bark collar on the guy - Loved it!!<br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjS-9bieyIshvyuQO3ZCvKCSfMAkSKFEZFU908tD6APQW5TDQYQ9PxsTML9AEdO1VxSQ-1WBaqDdnMHWlJz8Yu1iEqUq7aQqjQhrMIml1D3geLD1tfMdYGSN5uAUrLqC4Axn11nKaVd-x2h/s1600-h/100_1786.JPG"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 200px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 178px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5435687472644204066" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjS-9bieyIshvyuQO3ZCvKCSfMAkSKFEZFU908tD6APQW5TDQYQ9PxsTML9AEdO1VxSQ-1WBaqDdnMHWlJz8Yu1iEqUq7aQqjQhrMIml1D3geLD1tfMdYGSN5uAUrLqC4Axn11nKaVd-x2h/s200/100_1786.JPG" /></a>But I digress. This is about art and creating. Here is the bracelet that I will list as my weekly item. I love the clasp that I have used on this piece, and recent others, with the drop beads accenting it. I think it adds to the quality of the piece and is worth the extra time. The body of the totally black bracelet uses square beads and seed beads to create texture. I hope you like it.<br /></div><div>I also will finish and list the necklace that I posted last week as a work in progress (the spiral herringbone rope with the really cool pendant). Thanks to the suggestion of Christine of Christine's Beadworks to make this a multi-function piece, the pendant will be removable and the spiral herringbone necklace will be a piece that can be worn alone. Thanks Christine for the suggestion. I am totally at a loss as to how to finish this necklace. I really love the spiral rope, but I can't come up with a way to finish it. I posted it last week as a work in progress and it still is. I have the concept of a short lariat with the circle as the focal piece, but what next?? Any ideas?</div><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuWjNHBJETXY5WADE6uFow72JklGY98t93FceUpp19Us7EnKUNmyPduFgAPjs2hnzN-DJPBYCF7-DZtC6qWpM5o-1LOekJCK9KGP_8iTp6zy0g-FxMAPvvz-xClxgdmxqYLaond-ydiyCo/s1600-h/100_1808.JPG"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 200px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 126px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5435690829361447682" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuWjNHBJETXY5WADE6uFow72JklGY98t93FceUpp19Us7EnKUNmyPduFgAPjs2hnzN-DJPBYCF7-DZtC6qWpM5o-1LOekJCK9KGP_8iTp6zy0g-FxMAPvvz-xClxgdmxqYLaond-ydiyCo/s200/100_1808.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><div></div><br /><div></div><br /><div><br /></div><div><br />Finally, I have created circles. While I really enjoyed creating them, they are currently just circles. Not unlike crop circles, they don't have any current value. I am trying to determine where to go with them next! I will give this dilema some thought and report my revelations in next week's blog.<br /></div><br /><div>Until then - enjoy life!<br /></div></div>Mary T Designshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16859148825996828976noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3860284911866040571.post-3704064598254903242010-01-31T17:11:00.000-08:002010-01-31T17:42:30.278-08:00Sneak Peek at New Projects<div><div><div><div><div><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjDK4MtHz34cEWwdgNwBGdDZD9cWBvjWs_ftEFFvU1yDWzcR70VV5fXm15VZnMAbkG9i8L89MxXEh6c-fIKuyiP-tSjSqyE7iSwyR2OJd51NSGadVRel6xmWE1kCaf5dLJQGNMQ_tgYGFl/s1600-h/100_1772.JPG"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 200px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 66px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5433077362052681394" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjDK4MtHz34cEWwdgNwBGdDZD9cWBvjWs_ftEFFvU1yDWzcR70VV5fXm15VZnMAbkG9i8L89MxXEh6c-fIKuyiP-tSjSqyE7iSwyR2OJd51NSGadVRel6xmWE1kCaf5dLJQGNMQ_tgYGFl/s200/100_1772.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><br /><div>I have been busy this week completing and starting new projects. This piece was created to highlight a fantastic stone that I stumbled across. I created a bezel for it using Delica beads and struggled to come up with a necklace to support it. I am getting more adventurous in experimenting with different techniques and beads and this bracelet is my first piece containing bugle beads. It is also made with hex beads and bicone Swarovski crystals. If you are interested in this piece, check my shop (<a href="http://marytdesigns.etsy.com/">http://marytdesigns.etsy.com/</a>) later this week when it will be listed for sale. </div><div>Special thanks to Jacquie of AngelqueCreations (<a href="http://angelquecreations.etsy.com/">http://angelquecreations.etsy.com/</a>) for promoting my last week's necklace on our facebook page. The jewelery was strung, not woven which I prefer. Here is a picture of the Bride's jewelery. I did both the necklace and earrings. Below is a picture of the veil. I beaded around the outside of the entire thing and made a beadwoven piece for the comb. This past week has been and extreme challenge for me. First, it is my busiest work week of the year, since I am an accountant. My work week was very ful. On top of being very busy, I got very ill. Some sort of flu bug I guess. It was bad. But I pushed through and am now on my way to recovery and looking forward to week 2 of my new year.<br /><br /><div></div><br /><div>As I prevously stated, my plan for the year is to set and acheive goals. This week I will add one goal to my weekly to-do list. I will do one treasury every week. It is a great way to get to know fellow ETSY sellers and their shops. This weeks treasury theme was "Tropical Paradise". Please stop by and browse these wonderful shops! <a href="http://www.etsy.com/treasury_list.php?room_id=105168">http://www.etsy.com/treasury_list.php?room_id=105168</a> </div><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpzwaOTlMp8wQKYjjI-kGPKUK17ynh3rapZnCpFitwll6Wh_e-nRhCTRTbM_JUDiMMp7uhEY4EaNOiw6X5FLopkPXj6qbiMc8FSzKrIg85nBIL6BMolDOCQQ24jprsCJ32RuiAX_Is2Jaw/s1600-h/100_1689.JPG"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 200px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 175px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5425247743160766962" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpzwaOTlMp8wQKYjjI-kGPKUK17ynh3rapZnCpFitwll6Wh_e-nRhCTRTbM_JUDiMMp7uhEY4EaNOiw6X5FLopkPXj6qbiMc8FSzKrIg85nBIL6BMolDOCQQ24jprsCJ32RuiAX_Is2Jaw/s200/100_1689.JPG" /></a> <div></div><div></div><div>My previous goal was to list one new item per week. This week I will list a necklace that I made to wear to my son's wedding. It is my favorite creation to date. I used an Onyx cabuchon along with round onyx beads. It is accented with swarovski crystals and is finished with a beaded toggle clasp. I hope you like it as much as I do.</div><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJjR1-SpqF75MYx5sfMYWYDdxHvooPCDyjPtm7dyILuiD-JJMaL8zhc6arRFYLPTemzjCMLlnRLJVwyDuU4jQqNd4JhSpBj5ZFvTRsjTJsZmAjWGR0hk9U7GzhyphenhyphenlZiBHNCMr8Qui_m4zww/s1600-h/100_1677.JPG"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 185px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 200px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5425247422010424370" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJjR1-SpqF75MYx5sfMYWYDdxHvooPCDyjPtm7dyILuiD-JJMaL8zhc6arRFYLPTemzjCMLlnRLJVwyDuU4jQqNd4JhSpBj5ZFvTRsjTJsZmAjWGR0hk9U7GzhyphenhyphenlZiBHNCMr8Qui_m4zww/s200/100_1677.JPG" /></a><br /><div></div><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><div></div></div></div></div></div>Mary T Designshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16859148825996828976noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3860284911866040571.post-15559653980711459392010-01-03T13:58:00.000-08:002010-01-03T14:12:19.217-08:00Back in the Swing of Beadweaving<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivX8_mz4GXHJe-D9vviZOyw9E8cItCA4WgKbjRI3HD81ZiyQXj3MffbA76VjJ7Gxkr4jy6jUQoBefES0-JJPgZRl48-J5qGNrlZ12NOJlJSj8j1aMZUNhVjQwRYMb6DkVwRAuHe5G51BES/s1600-h/100_1665.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5422638741332775330" style="FLOAT: right; MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 175px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 201px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivX8_mz4GXHJe-D9vviZOyw9E8cItCA4WgKbjRI3HD81ZiyQXj3MffbA76VjJ7Gxkr4jy6jUQoBefES0-JJPgZRl48-J5qGNrlZ12NOJlJSj8j1aMZUNhVjQwRYMb6DkVwRAuHe5G51BES/s200/100_1665.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><div>As you probably have noticed, I have been conspicuously absent. Although I have no good excuse (I have no use for excuses!), I do have a great explaination! My son got married on December 27 right in the middle of the holiday season. I have had people in and out of my house for the past two weeks. All is back to normal now and I expect that I will transition into my normal routine. On top of the chaos, I made all of the jewelry for the bridal party including the bride. I also beaded her veil. Today was another first - I created my first treasury on ETSY. While that may not seem significant to those who do treasuries regularly, it is significant to me. I chose to focus on the obvious holiday theme and the title of my treasury is "Straight from the pumpkin patch". As you can guess, each piece is related to the pumpkin theme. This was a fun and educational exercise for me and I am glad that I did it. I visited many ETSY shops and made some great connections. Please visit my treasury to see some of the PUMPKIN selections that I have made.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.etsy.com/treasury_list_west.php?room_id=73173">http://www.etsy.com/treasury_list_west.php?room_id=73173</a><br /><br />I am sure that you will find something to fit your halloween needs!!Mary T Designshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16859148825996828976noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3860284911866040571.post-13402990140679727162009-10-15T18:24:00.001-07:002009-10-15T18:43:34.727-07:00Exciting Week<div>It has been an exciting week for me! I am a member of the Etsy Beadweaving Team <a href="http://etsy-beadweaving.blogspot.com/">http://etsy-beadweaving.blogspot.com/</a> and we are at the final stages of the voting for our October challenge. This is the first challenge that I have been a part of, and it has been fun watching the votes roll in. I am proud to say that I have received some votes in the challenge and am thankful for all who have participated. I am grateful for all of the EBW team members and their support. It has been a valuable learning experience.</div><br /><div></div><br /><div>This week was also the first time that I have been featured in a Treasury on ETSY. I was so excited that another artist noticed my work and felt that it was worthy of recognitio<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgm4PLEPRDlOiVaEuKJ1PtfZk7cehiafUtLuXi7CCqv17FtDEx6bz-M_DHE6R1T8IsNw_fXAfsBM1FpgaqcPnwW3kyVTELdTgVgK4anCXWebZLsSaR4E6pvqHvE4k5VinxLBfakJ1STXH8l/s1600-h/leaves+1"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5393007424851179026" style="FLOAT: right; MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 200px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 154px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgm4PLEPRDlOiVaEuKJ1PtfZk7cehiafUtLuXi7CCqv17FtDEx6bz-M_DHE6R1T8IsNw_fXAfsBM1FpgaqcPnwW3kyVTELdTgVgK4anCXWebZLsSaR4E6pvqHvE4k5VinxLBfakJ1STXH8l/s200/leaves+1" border="0" /></a>n. It is an expression of autumn in Michigan. I loved creating it and hope that you enjoy the result.</div>Mary T Designshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16859148825996828976noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3860284911866040571.post-22199692343067772702009-10-10T08:08:00.000-07:002009-10-10T08:18:06.494-07:00Featured Favorite<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOpzL4BhdtPwV-NsZ0fsDgAUCPBu42gdemvaK8qQzjZKq0PE2w1J3p2UAdRy0Owo15NA1tenhWVr_JID_RlrIW0iKsRByosevtc8EXKr-Z6ZzYaeGkJuCe9KynH_42b4Xrsu2X7jQDovdn/s1600-h/il_fullxfull_95147368.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5390989540149411698" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOpzL4BhdtPwV-NsZ0fsDgAUCPBu42gdemvaK8qQzjZKq0PE2w1J3p2UAdRy0Owo15NA1tenhWVr_JID_RlrIW0iKsRByosevtc8EXKr-Z6ZzYaeGkJuCe9KynH_42b4Xrsu2X7jQDovdn/s320/il_fullxfull_95147368.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div>I have been browsing the lovely pieces designed and handmade by the many artisans on ETSY and decided that I would love to feature a new peice each week as my "Featured Favorite". This week I have chosen the "Hope and Awareness Necklace" designed and crafted by SpringColors for the etteam breast cancer awareness project. I found this piece stunning, and as an added bonus it was designed for a good cause. Here is what the artist had to say about the piece:</div><div> </div><div>"The heart of this unique one of a kind beaded necklace is pink Swarovski crystal rivoli. Decorated with a pink crystal tear drop. The beaded base of the necklace is embellished with many Swarovski crystals and Swarovski pearls in various shades of pink and clear crystal. However, this beaded jewelry is more than an awareness to a good cause. This necklace is simply drop dead gorgeous with truly dazzling effect. Whether you wear it to work or to an evening event, this necklace will make you the center of attention anywhere you go. The brightness of the exquisite Swarovski crystals will light your face and neck.As all of my jewelry, this necklace is delicate, elegant and outstanding, assuring you in the main center of attention anywhere you go. My name is Mary Rabakon and I am the mother of two children (2 legged) and two others (4 legged). I love my family and am especially attached to my dachsunds Ellie and Maggie. They are my comfort. I have moved from craft to craft my entire life and about a year ago I discovered beading. I did not understand what I was looking for or why I was looking until I started beadweaving. Beadweaving gives me the outlet that I need to remove myself from the rat race that is life. Professionally I am the controller and treasurer of a manufacturing company, so you can probably understand my desire to remove myself from that role and escape into another. Beadweaving gives me that escape. </div><br /><div></div><br /><div>I am really new to my craft, so I am exploring many different styles and avenues of marketing. I am currently selling on ETSY <a href="https://marytdesigns.etsy.com/">https://marytdesigns.etsy.com/</a> . Stop by and take a look. I also am a member of the Etsy Beadweaving Team (<a href="http://etsy-beadweavers.blogspot.com/">http://etsy-beadweavers.blogspot.com/</a>). The team is currently in the midst of its monthly challenge and your vote for your favorite piece would be terrific. The collage above depicts the entries for the challenge. I can't decide which I like the best. I select one, then another jumps out at me. What to do?? Anyway, the voting begins on October 9 and ends October 15. It woud be great if you would browse the pieces on our blog at the aforementioned site and place your vote in the appropriate time period. Our talented members have created these pieces for your pleasure and would appreciate your vote of approval. In all cases, you will not be disappointed!! </div>Mary T Designshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16859148825996828976noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3860284911866040571.post-27712364136593640162009-09-26T18:26:00.000-07:002009-09-26T18:29:58.465-07:00My First Blogging ExperienceHello!
